3-16-2015: I've been chasing the big
black ugly black drum and haven't been red fishing this week. Well I
guess the redfish got hungry and decided to bite. They bit on dead
shrimp and mullet today. We caught a lot undersized reds but managed
to get out limit of legal size in also. South Bay and the Sail boat
Channel have had lots of hungry reds in then. Get out there and give
them a try.

OFFERING BAY FISHING AND
NIGHT FLOUNDER GIGGING TRIPS
Active Military -
10% Discount! Families w/ Children Welcome!
Bay Fishing and Flounder Gigging have been great so far this
March! We have been finding many schools of redfish coming
into the flats already which means this spring and summer are going
to be one of the best year's ever! Remember that the fishing
conditions in March typically mean - moving around to find the fish,
so don't get stuck on a location. Just because they were there
yesterday doesn't mean they are there today. Although the cold
fronts are weakening now, the water temps are still cool - so be
prepared to fish the drop-offs near the flats... but for the most
part, the Redfish will be holding over shallow water around mid-day,
getting some sun then dropping back down to drop- offs during the
night. Redfish this time of year are picky eaters. If you're
fishing bait, you'll find that one day they want cut mullet, the
next peeled shrimp. Live shrimp has been working for specks
along the edges of the ICW and drifting has proved to be the best
way to throw-your bait up against the banks. Flounder have been
plentiful but mostly seeing the smaller flounder with a couple of
nice-sized ones a night mixed in!
me a call to reserve a day... This is the time to go fishing!

everybody. Catching has been pretty darn good lately. I have been using
mullet for catching the redfish and Fish Bites for black drum. Both of
these fish will give your biceps a work out. The water temp was 59 this
morning and will climb into the 60's with the sunshine we are getting on
March 13th. I took out a long time client today along with his dad and at
our first stop we landed 4 bruisers in the 27 to 28 inch range and lost a
couple. The fish were still there but it was obvious that we had worn out
our welcome so we made another stop and within 5 minutes we had our last
two reds. I tried to catch some drum however the two schools we fished on
were not having anything to do with us. Managed to box one . That's ok .
You win some and you lose some. We had a great time on the water and if
you would like to go I would be glad to take you fishing. Remember we are

SPECIALIZING IN TROPHY
REDFISH, SPECKLED TROUT & BLACK DRUM
color begins to fill the morning sky, you sail your soft plastic
through the crisp damp air. With a slight "plop" it lands leaving a
small expanding ring of ripples as it begins its decent in the gin
clear water. You twitch the rid tip gently, trying to allow the bait
to stay in the water column a foot under the surface as long as
possible. You notice a movement and work the bait one solid jerk
then wait. It paid off, you feel the tell tail "THUMP" then a slow
pull away as you rare back on your rod to allow the hook to do its
job. Suddenly the water erupts in front of you as a behemoth of a
trout breaks through the surface trying to free itself from a
artificial bait it has been fooled into eating. In a few minuets of
fury, she is in your hands and you hold the spoils of victory for a
picture of a lifetime. While no one can guarantee a stringer
of fish, a successful day can be measured by good times, good
friends, and stories that last forever. Trout have been good
while wading, redfish and black drum are plentiful for boat fishing.
Lures are fair to slow on producing large numbers but can still
provide a fun day of line pulling action. Live bait and fresh dead
has been the best producers lately. Also, we are having great times
catching and releasing oversized black drum lately. If your looking
for a great time on the bay, give me a call. I still have a few days
open in March, so lets go have some fun!
Come on down, spend a day fishing, and some quality time with

Hello To Everyone,
Please read my March 2015 Article on Fishing,
Hunting, being Prepared, and Picnics!!!
The fishing three days ago was
phenomenal with a 28-1/2 inch Red within 5 minutes on the first
cast! The next two days were very slow. The 3 kids and the father
that I had taken out had a chance for the next two days at 12-14
Reds, plus one Black Drum. The poles bent over, but they only put 3
in the box. When the fish are this finicky you can
not let any slack in the lines, or they are off the hook, and that
is exactly what happened. The Dad told me at the dock they had a
great time fishing with me and texted me later the same message. I
appreciated their comments, but I was rather disappointed of just
three fish in the box. Well that is called fishing, or rather
"catching". This time of the year, and any time of the year, keep
tight lines. You'll catch more fish. Use Sea Lice and/or shrimp and
let them run before you set the hook. Again, these fish are finicky,
so be very slow to set the hook. Please contact us and "lets go
catch you some memories".

improving and so is the fishing. Water temperatures are in the 60's.
This means much more active fish and better fishing. Redfish have
been very good in the flats. Schools of fish are starting to show
and there's more to come with warming temperatures. Pin perch,
mullet have been working.
Redfish our also biting on soft plastics in darker colors with a 1/8
ounce jig head. Black drum have been great on dead and live shrimp
with good numbers. Look for these fish in the shell. The Big Drum
are still in the ship channel biting on sea lice and cracked crab.
Trout fishing is improving on soft plastics and live shrimp for wade
fishermen. When fishing for trout remember to keep your
presentations slow. Look for these fish to be relating to shell and
muddier bottoms using a 1/8 ounce jig with a soft plastic. Spring

The weather certainly has straightened out. Highs or in the high
60's to mid 70's. So Nice!! the fish think so too. boat limits of
reds and black drum are common in the Aransas area. Drum are eating
shrimp and reds are eating shrimp, perch and mullet. Trout are also
catchable in different bays and are eating soft plastics. they are
also providing great action on live shrimp and a popping cork.
Spring Break is here and the weather has really cooperated nicely.
Catching will only get better as both air and water temp warm. do
not miss your chance for great fun and action.

GIGGING AT NIGHT IS FANTASTIC!
Gigging Fans! We have had some great weather finally after
numerous cold & rainy days. The winds have been nice and calm this
past week, making way for some awesome flounder gigging. It is
unbelievable how many 13 1/2 inch flounder that are around every
night. I have been counting at least 100 or so. They will be keeper
fish in another two or three months, perfect timing for some major
flounder gigging action during the summer time. With all the
flounder beds that are around and the strong outgoing tide at night
, I believe the flounder are scooting off the bank a few hours after
the sun sets. I have been finding most of my flounder early in the
night. The flounder are hanging around short seagrass and hard sandy
bottoms. I have heard reports of a good amount of flounder
being gigged up and down the coast. Also, good numbers on sheepshead
and drum. Hopefully, we are finally starting to see a little bit of
payoff from the new regulations. As long as they leave the
regulations as is, and don't decide to add any more dates or drop
limits, it will suit me just fine. There is lots of gigging
action taking place at the coast, call now to RESERVE your trip

3-16-15: As we journey through Spring and into Summer, look
for Redfish on the grassy flats and along shoreline drop-offs. When
you see shiny popping and flipping mullet, shrimp, and other
baitfish rest assured the redfish wont be very far away. If you
concentrate on fishing extremely shallow water of about 10” to about
1’-6” keep your eyes peeled for a glistening Redfish tail to pop out
of the water. If you don’t like to chance fishing shallow water with
your boat or wading, you always have other opportunities. This is
what I like to call “pothole hopping”. Look for Redfish to feed on
moving water such as incoming and outgoing tides.
