MARCH/APRIL 2020 FISHING REPORT FISHING REPORT

LODGING AVAILABLE – NICE AND COMFORTABLE!  CALL FOR MORE DETAILS:  361-688-6459

Hello Everybody!  I touched on fishing in the featured article.  The weather should begin to see a warming trend in March which means catching will steadily increase.  Reds will eat just about anything you put in front of them.  Black Drum will be eating shrimp and there should be schools of drum in several areas.  Trout are here and will be eating live shrimp and artificial lures, mostly soft plastics, but temperature permitting, top waters should produce as well.  Overall fishing/catching will be great.  If you are looking for a break from your routine plan a trip to the Coast.  You will be glad that you did AND  I would love to hear from you!

CALL TODAY & LET’S GO FISHING!  Ph: 361-688 6459

MARCH/APRIL 2020 FISHING REPORT

Hopefully we are on the backside of the roller coaster hot and cold temps we have been having lately. It has really been effecting the fishing. Some days its been lights out with good boxes of fish and then some days its a grind to get a good box of fish. Overall fishing still continues to be great. In March I prefer do a lot of drifting or wading with live shrimp or artificial under a cork for trout. The action is usually really good. The reds have been better for me right now wading with artificial or live shrimp. They should continue to get better as water temps rise in the spring. Black drum have still been very consistent on dead shrimp on the bottom. I really like spring fishing because the fish really start getting ag So let me take you on your next fishing adventure in Rockport. Just give me a call or text I still have plenty of days left open in March and beyond for the 2020 fishing season.

Remember that fishing is year-round and we fish weekdays too…, but keep in mind that weekends fill-up fast and book your trip early!!

MARCH/APRIL 2020 FISHING REPORT

The mild winter of 2019/2020 has been one for the record books!  And with all signs pointing toward an early spring – this is going to be a fantastic year for fishing: Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum!   So we’re just barely approaching spring and already the Redfish have been fairly easy to catch due to losing some water out of the bay. Mullet has been my go-to bait, but artificial baits work really well this time of year too!  Don’t let the word “wintertime” scare you – it’s pleasant as can be here in The Texas Coastal Bend!!!  LET’S GET READY FOR SPRING BREAK BY COMING ON A FUN FISHING TRIP – CALL ME NOW BEFORE I BOOK-UP!!!  WEEKENDS FILL-UP FAST!!
