“I promise you 110% PURE FISHING FUN!!”

LODGING AVAILABLE!!   I HAVE A CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND COZY CABIN FOR ALL MY GUESTS! CALL FOR MORE INFO!

Hello to Everyone! Redfish are just about everywhere!  I heard a Guide the other day say, “there are so many Redfish it doesn’t take much skill to catch one”.  I agree with that statement to a point.  In my opinion sometimes like now there are a lot of Redfish and it doesn’t take much skill to catch one, but “skill” does come into play into landing the fish.  I’ve taught a lot of people these techniques, so contact me, I’ll teach them to you, and “let’s go catch you some memories”.  Also, don’t forget the Duck Season and the “Cast And Blast”, because it’s right around the corner.

CALL 432-349-0353  AND LET’S GO MAKE SOME MEMORIES!!

OCTOBER 2018 FISHING REPORT

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR LODGING IN ROCKPORT-FULTON, THEN LOOK NO FURTHER!  I have a great apartment that will sleep up to 6 comfortably with a full kitchen so no worries on were to eat. I just want to say please come and support your local fishing guides as this storm has been hard on all of us. Visit my website to see photos of the cutest cabin in Rockport!!

This last part of September you can tell fall is rolling in the first cold front is expected to arrive this evening. That means cooler temps and longer fishing days. The redfish bite has been picking up with the higher tides. I have been doing well on reds with croaker, ,shrimp, and cut mullet. The bigger fish coming while wading. The trout bite has been a little slower lately with a lot of smaller fish being caught. I am in the transition from croaker to shrimp as piggies have been unavailable lately. I still am catching good numbers if you get out and wade just fishing out of the boat has been a little slower. I know it will pick up as soon as the water temp comes down a little. I will start drifting a lot more. The drum bite has been better since the tide has come up. Finding them sitting on mud shell bottom on dead shrimp. I wanted to say early teal season was  great and so were the doves. Despite all the rain we got it was very successful. I believe its going to be a great duck season so don’t forget to get that cast and blast in or a great duck hunt. There is also still a little time left to get a dove hunt in as we are still seeing a lot of birds. The fall is always a successful time of year to fish or hunt so give me a call to schedule a trip and remember I do have lodging available.

Remember that fishing is year-round and we fish weekdays, but keep in mind that weekends fill-up fast!  Book your trip early!!

September was slow for me as for trips booked. I guess all the rain we’ve been having has been the factor. October though I have several trips booked, I love to fish this month! Cooler temps, and  less people on the water all equates to better fishing conditions. Looking forward to it!!

OCTOBER 1, 2018 CURRENT FISHING REPORT

These high waters are effecting everyone including the fish.  The fish don’t know where their holes are.  They seem to be swimming around aimlessly.  I have found some herded up or what we call Rodeoing Up.  The only problem is that they spook easily.  Alyn’s Bite as well as the area around the floating duck blind has been producing lately.  Also found lots of reds in the different lakes all around the flats.  Make sure your boat can take some of the shallower lakes before you go into them and get stuck.  I’ve been using some plastics this week and having luck on root beer color and pink flamingo’s.  The trout seem to like those this week also.  The finger mullet have been plentiful also.  Just wanted you to know I’m back on the water on weekends and ready to take you fishing.  Duck season is right around the corner and Coco, my dog and I are gearing up for that.  We can do Blast ‘n Cast trips, hunting trips or just go fishing.  It’s a good as long as I’m on the water.  Capt. Kyle is ready also to take you fishing on the weekdays.  Give Beverly a call and let’s get your trip booked.  All our rates are on our webpage and we can’t wait to see your name on the calendar.
